CareDrops exists to help love keep showing up when life pulls families apart.

Kids grow up.
They go to college.
They build lives of their own.

And suddenly, the people you love most are living hundreds, sometimes thousands, of miles away.

CareDrops was created for this season by me - a mom who lives this daily.

When distance starts, love doesn’t disappear it adapts

CareDrops isn’t a subscription box.
It’s a small, intentional way to show up emotionally when being there in person isn’t possible.

Each CareDrop is designed to feel thoughtful, personal, and easy to receive as a simple reminder that someone is still thinking of you, still paying attention, still cheering you on.

It’s not about the items inside.
It’s about what they represent.

CareDrops: College Edition was intentionally designed with campus life in mind.

Dorm rooms are small.
Recycling can be complicated.
Students are busy building independence.

That’s why CareDrops arrives as a lightweight padded envelope instead of a bulky box. Inside is a gift card and a few thoughtful extras that are just enough to matter, without adding clutter or pressure.

From the founder

Hi, I’m VaNessa Duplessie, the founder of CareDrops.

I’m a mom with two kids living far from home. One in college, one building life beyond it.

Like so many parents, I felt the mix of pride, love, and quiet ache that comes with watching your kids step into independence while still wanting them to feel supported and connected.

I didn’t want to send another box of things.
I wanted a simple, thoughtful way to show up without hovering, without overdoing it, and without needing a reason.

CareDrops grew out of this place of love and my happy and sad heart.

Not to fix the distance but to honor it, and to give love somewhere meaningful to land.

Where we’re starting

CareDrops begins with college students, because that transition is often where distance first becomes real.

Over time, CareDrops will grow to support other life stages and family roles. But the heart of the brand will always stay the same:

Helping love show up even when life makes it harder.
